POP! Out of the Vault: Andy Warhol's Little Red Book

February 19, 2019 — June 30, 2019

POP! Out of the Vault features Pop art works from the Arkansas Arts Center Foundation Collection. In the latter half of the 20th century, Pop artists looked to advertising and mass media, using imagery that included consumer products and celebrity likenesses across their work. The exhibition features a selection of works on paper and craft objects that highlight the strength of the Arts Center’s Pop art collection. Among this collection is Andy Warhol’s Little Red Book, 9, the book of 16 Polaroids Warhol shot in 1975 as source material for print 1 in the portfolio Ladies and Gentlemen. The exhibition also features works by other notable Pop artists.

61st Annual Delta Exhibition

The Annual Delta Exhibition presents a vision of contemporary art in the American South. Founded in 1958, the exhibition provides a unique snapshot of the Delta region. The Delta Exhibition reflects the region’s strong traditions of craftsmanship and observation, combined with an innovative use of materials and an experimental approach to subject matter.

Blue Porcelain: Resident Artist - Ceramics Adrian Quintanar

March 5, 2019 – June 30, 2019

In his new body of work, Arkansas Arts Center Resident Artist - Ceramics Adrian Quintanar explores beauty and color without neglecting form and craftsmanship. This show embraces functional forms inspired by aspects of daily life: waking up to a hot cup of coffee, the view of vases brimming with fresh flowers, and a cool nightcap on a warm summer evening.
